Spojena skola Juraja Henischa is based in a small town called Bardejov in north-eastern Slovakia. It was established in 1973 and it has two parts - the polytechnic school preparing students for various jobs in engineering, construction, etc. and the grammar school offering general secondary education and preparing students for studies at university. There are about 550 students aged 15-19 and about 50 teachers. In the past, we took part in 3 Comenius projects with partner schools in Germany, Spain, Italy, Holland, Sweden, Romania, etc. and both students and teachers found participation in them extremely useful in terms of cultural enrichment, broadening of knowledge and experience and professional development. The school also benefited because of this and became more attractive for new students and their parents. That is why we are eager to take part in this international project and strongly believe it will help the school and the students to advance even further.
